The Westory Building

The Westory Building is an eleven-story, Class A office building located in the East End of downtown Washington, DC, prominently located in the northeast corner of 14th and F Streets, NW. The original Westory Building was completed in 1906 and was considered to be among the most beautiful of office buildings in the Eastern US when it was constructed. Today, The Westory Building remains a trophy-class office building in Washington, DC.

Maintaining the original historic exterior façade, redevelopment and expansion of The Westory Building was completed in 1990 with a new, enlarged building footprint encompassing the original structure. In 2002, a second phase of redevelopment was completed with delivery of an addition along F Street, NW known as the Westory Annex, which increased the size of the floorplates further.

The exterior façade of the building features the preserved and restored historic Beaux Arts design constructed of terra cotta and brick from the original building constructed in 1906. The exterior of the building from the 1990 redevelopment incorporated a limestone and glass element onto the exterior façade. And, the 2002 Annex façade maintained the limestone and glass design of the existing building exterior and introduced an architectural curtain wall.

The striking two-story lobby features flame-polished granite and marble flooring, mahogany accented walls, and an artistically appealing main entrance of brass and glass. An attractive interior waterfall constructed of granite serves as the focal point of the main lobby.
