Energy Star

A key component of Cushman & Wakefield's sustainability efforts is the utilization of EPA’s Portfolio Manager benchmarking tool to track the energy consumption trends and totals at our properties. It has been incorporated across our entire portfolio, benchmarking each building’s monthly energy and water use with the ultimate goal of earning the ENERGY STAR label, EPA’s recognition for superior energy performance. An ENERGY STAR certified facility meets strict energy performance standards to optimize operational efficiencies.

ENERGY STAR-certified buildings are rated on their energy performance on a scale of 1-100 relative to similar buildings nationwide. To qualify for the ENERGY STAR, a building or manufacturing plant must earn a 75 or higher on EPA's 1-100 energy performance scale, A rating of 50 indicates that the building, from an energy consumption standpoint, performs better than 50% of all similar buildings nationwide, while a rating of 75 indicates that the building performs better than 75% of all similar buildings nationwide.
